“I’ve decided to go vegan for four weeks and give up animal products altogether. I already gave up meat 20 years ago when I was a teen but still eat a fair amount of dairy (especially considering I’m lactose intolerant!) and you’ll often catch me eating a little seafood on weekends (although it’s always carefully chosen like mackerel or sardines!). All excuses aside, since a 2010 UN report suggested the world needs to eat less meat and dairy to overcome the worst impacts of climate change, I’m going to give it a go and try full-on veganism on for size. Oops. I just realized that means I have to put down my fish oil pills too! Time to go shopping for vegan alternatives...”
