Panasonic Canada is generously supporting this challenge with prizing that includes cordless power tool products and an electronic whiteboard for the classroom/school winner to encourage hands-on creativity and action.
Three Individual Prizes
Three
individuals will win a
Panasonic 18 V Drill & driver kit with two Li-ion batteries (approximate value $400) for use on general construction, plumbing, finishing carpentry and electric installation work.
Three Group Prizes
Two
groups will win a
Panasonic 18 V Drill & driver kit with two Li-ion batteries (approximate value $400) for use on general construction, plumbing, finishing carpentry and electric installation work, and a
cordless jigsaw designed for general construction and carpentry (total approximate value $900).
One classroom/school will win a Panaboard electronic whiteboard equipped with an integral printer (approximate value: $1 000). The Panaboard has endless panels for instant note taking and can increase attention, participation and productivity in the classroom.

Upcycling is also about appreciating what we have and what others might not have. Maybe you already have a drill or jigsaw in good working order, but somebody you know could probably use your old one. Lend it to a friend, barter, trade, that’s the upcycling way!
