Have your group, class, family or colleagues participate in a Yellow Fish Road storm drain marking event this Earth Day! Fertilizer, pet waste, and soap entering our lakes and rivers through storm drains in urban areas is one of the biggest problems facing aquatic life. Participants mark the storm drains with painted yellow fish symbols in order to remind residents that what goes down the storm drain ends up in the nearest water source. Participants also hang fish-shaped brochures on door knobs to provide more information. Complete painting kits and safety equipment are available for loan as well as workshops, all free of charge.
