Community Environment Fund now accepting applications
The Earth Day Canada (EDC) Community Environment Fund is now accepting applications for the spring grant period. The deadline for applications is February 28th, 2010.
The Community Environment Fund provides Ontario schools, not-for-profits and volunteer groups the opportunity to create and inspire environmental action in local communities. The Fund recognizes and celebrates the tremendous impact of grassroots projects, and provides up to $20 000 in financial support for local environmental initiatives.
To be eligible for a grant, applicants must clearly demonstrate the benefits their projects will have on the environment and local community and be open to the public.
The Fund offers two grant periods per year:
Spring Grant Period
Application Deadline: February 28
Announcement of Approved Grants: April 22
Fall Grant Period
Application Deadline: August 31
Announcement of Approved Grants: October 14
