Individual and Groups: Enter to win the Hometown Heroes Award and $10 000
Earth Day Canada, in partnership with Cascades and the RBC Foundation, is accepting nominations for the Hometown Heroes Award. Help recognize the unsung heroes of the environmental movement by circulating program information to your volunteers, supporters and program partners.
New to the 2010 program is the Group Hometown Heroes Award, with a $10 000 cash-prize to support their work.
Nominate yourself, an individual or group from your community by Earth Day, April 22nd, 2010.
Earth Day Events: Celebrate 40 years of Earth Day®
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day®. Help Canada celebrate and register your local event on Earth Day Canada’s events calendar. Whether your event is during Earth Month, or on the big day itself, let us encourage individuals and families to take part.
If you want to do more, check out the Earth Day Accredited Coordinator Program. We’ll provide you with the resources and support you need to stage local Earth Day events and together, we can educate, inspire, and help local community groups promote solutions to local environmental issues.
