What we do
Our free, year-round, award-winning programs focus on education, action, recognition and financial support. We believe that each Canadian has a responsibility to do what they can to lessen their impact on the earth.
Canada’s leading environmental education program, EcoKids, supports teachers and students Grades K-8 with curriculum-linked lesson plans and activities in English and French, as well as homework help articles and online games.
EcoMentors, our free peer-to-peer education program, gives youth the professional skills training and resources they need to facilitate local environmental education workshops with their peers and younger Canadians.
We promote practical, culturally relevant and cost-effective solutions to lessen your impact on the environment through challenges, contests and campaigns.
Recognition & financial support
Our Toyota Earth Day Scholarships recognize Canada’s young environmental leaders. The program provides scholarships to graduating high school students going on to post secondary education in the discipline of their choice.
The Hometown Heroes Award Program recognizes environmental leaders at the community level with an individual and a group award, and business leaders with a small business award.
In addition to our free programming, we offer fee-for-services Employee Engagement programs to help businesses meet their environmental, sustainability and conservation goals. We develop strategies that put the three “Ps” first—People, Planet, Profits.
Our Tapestry program aims to move the environmental imperative forward within diverse communities, and advance diversity and inclusion in the environmental sector.
