Our Make It Count for Earth Day campaign focused on 4 action categories – EAT, GROW, TRANSFORM and SHARE. Thousands of action goals were set in each category, by people across the country, and the results shared using the hashtag #MIC4ED on social media.

Recycle for Education contest winners

Staples Canada, in collaboration with Earth Day Canada, recently announced the 10 winning schools in the 2014 Recycle for Education Computer Lab Contest. Close to 700 publically funded elementary and secondary schools entered the country-wide contest this year.

Jayden Rae is a Grade 11 student with a passion for the environment, who feels empowered to take action in her life, while encouraging others to do the same. She has already completed over 15 EcoMentors workshops and looks forward to continuing with new topics and mentoring in different schools.

Youth Activator raises environmental awareness

Susana is a Bachelor of Environmental Studies student, focusing on environment and culture. She has a passion for environmental and popular education. She became a Youth Activator for the EcoMentors program in August 2013, and will be hosting EcoMentors workshops in and around the Toronto region.
